Diwali, the festival of lights, a time for celebration. To spread this light and create cherished memories, the youth of our parish decided to celebrate this festival of lights by going for a picnic on Diwali day 12th November 2023 to Farrys Resort Gorai. It was an unforgettable experience full of joy and laughter. On reaching the picnic spot we were served with delicious breakfast followed by some games such as 'Reverse Charades' 'Photo and video scavenger hunt' etc. Soon it was time to feel the pool water, to dive and swim in the deep fascinating and glowing pool with cool blue tiles that enhanced the color of water. The Youngsters dived in the pool with eyes closed and arms outstretched feeling their heart before feeling the depth of water. Splashing water on each other seemed like great fun. It was soon time for a yummy lunch spread that awaited at the table which was blessed by Bro. Anand. The youth then continued to play a few more games and dip themselves over and again in the pool. We then started our journey back home in the bus where we sang joyous melodious songs. Our sincere gratitude to Fr's. Joseph Gonsalves & Nelson Saldanha for their cooperation encouragement and generosity. Our youth animators Dean Pereira and Cassina Netto for organizing this picnic and giving us their best support. We also appreciate our office bearers Ryan Fernandes and Anthony Chettiar, to Nicole Fernandes and Clare for their keen interest in organizing this day. We the youth who attended this picnic will never forget the memorable time spent together and will surely cherish these memories forever.
