TWENTY SIXTH SUNDAY OF THE YEAR
1. 30th September the memorial of St. Jerome.
1st October the feast of St. Theresa of the child of Jesus.
2nd October the memorial of the Holy Guardian Angels.
4th October the memorial of Francis of Assisi.
5th October the memorial of St. Maria Faustina.
2. Today the Church celebrates World Day of the Migrants.
3. On 4th October first Friday Holy half hour will be at 6.30 pm conducted by Senior Citizen Cell and Hope and Life Cell.
4. The Marian Pilgrimage for the Sunday School children from Std IV onwards will be held on 2nd October 2024. Children who have enlisted with their catechists must assemble in the church at 7.15 am. The pilgrimage begins with the opening prayer service in our church. Breakfast and lunch will be provided to the children.
5. The Parish is celebrating the Ruby Jubilee (40 yrs.) of the Small Christian Communities (S.C.C). To mark the occasion, we are organizing a musical titled ‘The Ruby Quest”. Please pray for the success of the Ruby Quest show. Please be generous to get involved to make the program successful. Those who wish to give donations for the Ruby Quest. Kindly contact the Parish office.
6. Sunday 6th October will be celebrated as Thanksgiving Day in the Archdiocese. The new corns will be blessed at 8.00 am on the ground and carried to Church in procession. The Mass will be in Marathi and English at 8.15 am. The Goregaon East Indian community will organize the celebration. There will be a raffle draw in front of the school gate after the Mass. Kindly come in large numbers and participate in the procession as well as the Thanksgiving Eucharist.
7. The Parish Pastoral Council meeting is on Sunday 6th October. Members please be present.
8. The month of October is dedicated to Holy Rosary in the Communities. The coordinators are requested to take the statue of Mother Mary and a box from the Sacristy. Please pray during the community Rosary for Synod which will be held in Rome, in October 2024.
9. There will be a Steering Committee program on Sunday 13th October from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm in the conference room. 2 Animators and the coordinators are requested to participate in the program.
10. The youth of our parish will be going for an overnight picnic cum trek to Karjat Don Bosco, on the 11th and 12th of October 2024. Age group 16 to 25 only. Charges Rs. 300/-. To register for the same contact the youth available near the book stall after mass.
11. The Bombay Catholic Sabha helpdesk is available on the porch from 8.30 am to 10.30 am for voter card Registration and Membership. Kindly make use of this facility.
