TWENTY FOURTH SUNDAY OF THE YEAR
1. Today we celebrate the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.
15th September is the memorial of Our Lady of Sorrows.
16th September is the memorial of Saints Cornelius and Cyprian.
2. Our heartfelt thanks goes to the Sunday school and confirmation children for the skits and liturgy, Units for offertory and distribution of snacks, S.V.P for giving hampers to the needy, Ushers for helping, Decor team for draping Mother Mary every day, Altar Servers, Eucharist Ministers, Children’s choir, Parish Pastor Council, those who donated Sarees and donations, Legion of Mary for the chain of Rosary bouquet, Media cell for quiz videos and you dear parishioners for your generous participation and prayers. May our heavenly mother intercede for all and may the Lord bless one and all.
3. The Bombay Catholic Sabha will be announcing the Awards for Academic Excellence for those having passed 10th Std all Boards (90% and above only) and 12th Std Arts, Science and Commerce (80% and above only) The application forms are available at the Parish Bookstall and have to be returned latest by 14th September 2025 along with a copy of the self-attested mark sheet.
4. There will be an SVP collection today. Kindly be generous.
5. There will be a youth meeting tomorrow/ today at 10:30 am in the conference room. Requesting all youth to attend.
6. All those who have given their names for the Mount Mary Basilica pilgrimage on 15th September are requested to assemble near the school entrance by 7.45 am.
7. The Bombay Catholic Sabha is organizing a talk for the parishioners on “Women’s health and hygiene” on Sunday, 28th September 2025, at 10.30 am in the conference room.
8. Due to Communal disharmony and attacks on Christians in our country, the Archbishop of Bombay has sent a prayer to be recited by the families. The unit coordinators are requested to collect the same from the sacristy and share it with the unit families. Kindly pray for peace and harmony in the country.
9. Community Welfare Fund for August was Rs. 134,350/-, from which Rs. 34,376/- was given for medical.
10. Fr. Nelson will be visiting Chincholi Bunder families on 15th, 16th, and 19th September from 6.00 pm onwards.
