TWELFTH SUNDAY OF THE YEAR

1. 24th June is the Feast of the birth of St. John the Baptist.

2. First Holy Communion, Confirmation and Sunday school begin tomorrow/today; children, please attend your respective class regularly. There will be a meeting of parents of Confirmation candidates on Sunday 28th June 2026 at 8 am in the conference room. At least one parent along with the candidate should be present for the meeting.

3. The 34th AGM of the Bombay Catholic Sabha, St. Thomas Church Goregaon East unit will be held tomorrow/today at 10.30 am in the Parish Conference Room. All members of the BCS are requested to attend. The Agenda and the Accounts statement are displayed on the BCS notice board 

4. The list of the Associations conducting 1 st Friday holy half an hour during 2026-27 is posted on the notice board.

5. Our Parish Triduum Novenas will begin from Thursday, 2nd July, and the feast will be celebrated on Sunday, 5 th July.

• On Saturday, 4th July, join us for a Thomasian Dance Nite from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Passes are available at the book stall for Rs.150 per person; this cost includes snacks. The entry is limited to the first 200 people, so do get yours early!

• On Sunday, 5th July, after each Mass, we’ll host a mini-fete in the school quadrangle. Our communities will set up stalls offering mouthwatering food. There will also be a Raffle Draw. Community coordinators are requested to collect the Raffle forms from the sacristy and distribute the same to the families in their respective communities. The last date to submit the forms and the amount collected is 30th June.

• The fete will also feature games by the youth and an entertainment programme for all to enjoy.

Let’s come together in large numbers, invite our relatives and friends, and make our feast celebrations a resounding success!

6. Our Lady of Lourdes Church has opened a Parish Employment Cell for Job seekers and employees. For details, refer to the notice board.

7. Br. Ronak Bhuriya is assigned to our Parish for pastoral ministry during the weekend; we wish him a fruitful experience during this year.

8. Diocesan Youth Centre has organized Parish Youth Animator Skills and Certificate for leadership in Youth Ministry. For details, refer to the poster on the notice board. Requesting our youth to take part in these programs.

9. Don Bosco Institute of Technology, Kurla reserves 51% of its seats for Catholics who wish to enrol for a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. We offer Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering; for admission details, refer to the notice board.

10. The Archdiocese is organising the Deepen Your Faith Course for adults from 27 th June at St. Andrew’s College, Bandra. This year’s theme focuses on Towards a Co-responsible Church in the vision of Synodality promoted by the Universal Church. For more details and registration, please refer to the notice board.

11. The amount collected by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul for June 2026 is Rs. 16563/-
