St Thomas Parish Feast was celebrated on 6th July 2025.

We began by having Triduum Masses starting on 3rd July. Masses were celebrated by Fr.

Reuben Tellis & Fr Cedric Rosario. The Themes for each of the days was: -

  • 3rd July – ‘I am the Bread of Life’.

  • 4th July – ‘I am the light of the world’.

  • 5th July – ‘I am the way the Truth & the Life’.

The sermons resonated well with the themes & were thought provoking & had a good message

that inspired the congregation.

Hawaiian Night was celebrated on 5th July & had 200 parishioners in attendance. The décor

was very welcoming and gave everyone a flavour of participating to the fullest. Stalls were

well managed by the East India Community & had a delicious spread of snacks. Kids & Adults

enjoyed dancing to the steps by the choreographers who kept the party going.

Feast Day Mass was celebrated by Archbishop John Rodrigues. He was welcomed by a grand

procession of Parishioners and escorted to the Church.

The Theme for the Feast day was ‘ I am the Vine and you are the branches’.

Branches must be ready to be pruned. We need to allow Jesus to prune us. We need to stay

connected and be in Union with Jesus. We live in God and God lives in us. The sermon

encapsulated the above & was good food for thought, that left the parishioners enriched and

inspired.

The Cultural Program after the Feast Mass was well celebrated by the P.P.C.

Each of the 16 communities dished out unique food items & savouries at their stalls, that got

sold like hotcakes.

Youth had some very interesting games and both the young & old enjoyed playing.

The choir had a series of performances through a Medley where kids sang and played musical

instruments much to the delight of all those present.

The Highlight of the day was the Raffles that had parishioners win 20 prizes across various

communities & categories

People enjoyed dancing to the music played by the Brass Band & the D.J too ensured he kept

everyone on their toes.

The event ended on a happy note with the Vice President of the P.P.C giving the Vote of Thanks.
