FIRST SUNDAY OF ADVENT

1. 3rd December, the Solemn Feast of St. Francis Xavier, Principal patron of the archdiocese.

2. From today, we begin the Season of Advent. A time of preparation for Christmas and the first coming of Christ is recalled. This season is joyful and spiritual, marked by expectation of the Lord. You are invited to prepare your heart with prayer, charity and worship.

3. On 3rd December 2025, the feast of St. Francis Xavier, there will be Mass in Konkani at 7:00 p.m. The Novena to Our Lady Perpetual Succour will be at 6.45 pm. There will be a get-together with dinner after the Eucharist in the quadrangle. The charges are Rs. 250/- per person. Those who wish to take part in the get-together may contact Mr Elias Fernandes or Mrs Jennifer Stephens.

4. Tomorrow/today, we have the cleaning of the Church after 9.30 am Mass, requesting the Youth and adults to come in large numbers and help in cleaning the Church. Thank you.

5. The Catholic Charismatic Renewal Mumbai invites you to 'The Chosen encounter'' on Saturday, 6 December 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Church Grounds, Kurla. All parishioners are encouraged to attend; kindly contact the prayer group members.

6. The Examiner Magazine, which provides information in the Archdiocese of Mumbai. We invite our parishioners to subscribe to the Examiner. You can visit the book stall for information. Requesting Examiner subscribers to pay their annual subscription of Rs. 1100/- for the year 2026 at the bookstall.

7. The Archdiocese of Bombay will be closing the Jubilee Year 2025 with a Festival of Families organized by the Snehalaya Family Service Centre on Sunday, 28th December 2025, the Feast of the Holy Family, at Our Lady of Velankanni Shrine, Bhate Bunder Uttan. With Mass at 10.00 am followed by Cultural Activities. Requesting Families from our parish to register with the members of the Parish Family Cell, latest by 7th December 2025. Breakfast, Tea and Lunch will be served. A bus will be organized from our Parish. Charges Rs.100 per head.

8. There will be Pre Pre-Baptism class on Saturday 13th December from 4.30 pm to 7.00 pm. Those couples who are on the family way for the first time and the godparents are requested to attend the class in the conference room. Kindly register your names in the parish office by 8th December 2025.

9. There will be Eucharistic Adoration on Friday 5th December 2025 at 6.30pm, conducted by the parish Youth.

10. Pastoral council meeting on Sunday, 7th December 2025 after 9.30 am Mass in the conference room. Members are requested to attend.

11. College of Social Work, Nirmala Niketan Extension Centre St. Pius Complex, Goregaon East, is commencing self-financed courses from January 2026. For more details, refer to the notice board.

12. Our Lady of Assumption Church Kandivali West is organizing Fun N Fair and a talent competition on 30th November, 1st and 2nd December 2025 on account of St. Francis Xavier feast. All are invited. For details, refer to the banner.

13. Mass booking for January 2026 will begin on 2nd December 2025.
