FIRST SUNDAY OF LENT

1. The season of Lent is a time of prayers, penance and abstinence. As Pilgrims of Hope during this Jubilee year you are invited to be charitable and spend time in prayer.

2. The Way of the Cross and Mass schedule will be as follows: 5.00 pm Way of the Cross in Tamil, 5.30 pm Mass in Tamil, 6.15 pm Way of the Cross in Marathi, 7.00 pm Mass in English, 7.30 pm Way of the Cross in English conducted by Legion of Mary and Eucharistic Ministers.

3. The Way of the Cross on Friday schedule in English is posted on the notice board. The Cells and Associations are requested to make note of the date allotted and conduct the Way of the Cross on that day.

4. Jubilee Cross will be circulated in Shreyas Colony from 10th March 2025. Kindly recite the prayers handed over to the Coordinators when the community members gather together in each home. Please follow the pattern of Mother Mary statue circulation and pray for peace and blessings on each one.

5. All those who have given names for the orientation program of Cells and Associations are requested to gather in School A.V room by 10.30 am tomorrow/today.

6. The Legion of Mary of our parish is organizing their 42nd Annual Lenten Walking Pilgrimage to Mount Mary Basilica on 29th March 2025 beginning at 10.00 pm from our Church. This pilgrimage will conclude with Holy Eucharist celebrated by Bp. Allwyn D’silva on 30th March, at 5.30 am at Mount Mary Basilica. All are invited. There will be a volunteer’s meeting on 16th March at 7.pm in the school basement.

We request our parishioners to come forward and help in the ushering and other jobs. Those interested in ushering are requested to attend this meeting. Those who wish to sponsor or donate in cash or kind, kindly contact Fr. Nelson Saldanha or Cassina Netto.

7. The youth will be having their monthly meeting tomorrow /today after the 9.30 am Mass in the conference room. Requesting all youth of our parish to attend the same.

8. S.V.P will have a collection today, please be generous.

9. The Community Coordinators are informed to submit the claim for the year 2024 -2025 at the earliest in the parish office during office hours. Parishioners are requested to pay their contribution for the Community Welfare Fund before 25th March 2025.

10. We wish to thank the Children, teachers and Fr. Joe for organizing faith exhibition. May God bless you and strengthen your faith. A special word of thank you to Fr. Joe and the Catechist for your commitment and service.

11. St. Andrews college of Hotel Management announces admission for the Certificate course in Hotel Management & Catering Technology a One Year course in hospitality training and B.Sc. (Hospitality Studies) a three-Year Degree course graduating students into a comprehensive career in the Hotel Industry. Candidates ought to have passed the HSC in any stream. 12. Joseph Cardijn technical institute offer a month-long technical trade training especially for those who have appeared for their SSC/ HSC exam and also for college going students who are on vacation, to know the basics of welding /fabrication, electrical, car servicing and carpentry which will give them an orientation into the technical field. This course is open to students of all faiths
