TWENTIETH SUNDAY OF THE YEAR
1. 20th August is the memorial of St Bernard
21st August is the memorial of Pope St. Pius X.
22nd August is the memorial of the Queenship of Mary.
2. Tomorrow/today is Prison Ministry will be celebrated. Kindly pray for the prisoners.
3. The Parish Family Cell invites married couples to a talk by Fr. Ashwin Castellino, Director of Snehalaya Family Service Centre, on the topic ''Communicate Better, Resolve Smarter'' on Sunday 23rd August 2026 from 10.30 am to 12.00 noon. Requesting married couples to register with the members of the Parish Family Cell; charges Rs.50 per couple.
4. Justice Sunday will be celebrated on 23 rd August.
5. Steering Committee meeting for SCC Coordinators and Animators is on Sunday, 30th August in the school AV room from 10.45 am onwards.
6. There will be a short sharing on the Retrouvaille program for couples by Saira and Elroy after the announcements.
7. Today is being celebrated as Prison Ministry Sunday in the Archdiocese of Bombay. Coordinators are requested to collect envelopes and distribute to the families. You may drop your contribution/envelope in any box placed in the Church. Those who wish to join as Prison Ministry Volunteers or would like to
support this ministry in any way are requested to refer to the Prison Ministry poster displayed on the notice board.
8. Novena in honour of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary will begin on Sunday 30th August. There will be an offertory of various food items on each day offered by the families. The list is posted on the Notice board. The liturgy will be conducted by the Sunday School Children.
9. Coordinators, please give the names of the deserving families from your Unit to Donald D’souza, Manuel Sampey of SVP to distribute offertory ration on 6th September 2026. You may take their contact number from Church office.
10. The amount collected by Society of St. Vincent de Paul for August 2026 is Rs. 27,576/-
11. The Parish fathers thank you for Last Sunday’s collection of Rs. 41,281/- which will be sent to the Archbishop's house.
